Objective
progress in the definition of key issues for the future of the Frente Amplio as name, positioning and strategy, define the issues relevant to the face and how to work them, and move forward in establishing a roadmap towards action COP16.
Background of the previous meeting
The May 26, 2010 we met some members of the Front for review and work on the following points: Response or not response to the letter circulated by the representatives in regard to Mexico's Klimaforum Frente Amplio and from the member organizations, Response to the letter of accession to the Frente Amplio by the member organizations of Other Worlds, define a name for the Broad Front, Front Set positioning, generate a first action strategy document and define the mailing list for invitations to the following meetings.
The resolutions of the meeting were: Reply to the letter circulated by the representatives in Mexico Klimaforum just to clarify what is and is not the front, and form of participation of its constituent organizations. Responding to Other Worlds to welcome them to the Front. There will be a vote via the internet to choose from among the names submitted. It appointed a Special commission to establish an initial position of the front that will be circulated for review and group work until the final document. It was proposed that the review work done over the Internet to facilitate participation of all organizations being unable to physically attend. A committee was appointed specifically to develop an action strategy of the Front for the changes affect you define. Also the work of this Committee will be Internet group construction. We will check the mailing list for future invitations. The complete minutes of the meeting will be distributed electronically in the next days.
Agenda of next meeting
Since the last meeting discussed the need for rapid progress in the construction of the positioning and strategy of action to initiate advocacy work towards the COP16 for different topics deemed necessary, we propose the following as a working agenda for the meeting of June 9: Follow-up at 6 arrangements of the meeting of 26 May. Establishment of a working group to discuss various topics that we want to influence the COP16. Define a critical path of activities based on the strategy to ensure the impact of the Front at COP16.
